Solid advice: tear it down or fan it up!Miriam
On a merry June day, while the heat and the hot spell were starting to caress the Bel Paese, Marco suddenly realized that he was really IN TROUBLE: distracted by the spring breeze of May and by the end of the lockdown, he hadn’t realized that his computer was absolutely not ready to face summer!
Much worse! 😱
His beloved desktop computer was nestled in a beautiful half-open cabinet, constantly risking to choke in the hot air and collapsing forever.
Marco was thinking about buying the special KLIM Zephyr to blow some fresh air into the Sahara of his cabinet, so he decided to contact our agent Samuele, seeking advice on the matter. Samuele wasn’t sure that KLIM Zephyr was the right choice for Marco, and, although he knew he might lose a potential buyer, he threw himself heart and soul into finding an alternative solution for him.
After days of study, research, projects, calculations and simulations, Samuele finally had the answer! In fact, he had two.
The first option was to get a hacksaw and a hammer, and make some space at the back of the cabinet! 🛠
However, not being quite Bob the Builder, Samuele preferred to go with the second option; after all, he was a Product Specialist, and one of the best in the business! 😎
He advised Marco to invest in two good 120 mm static pressure optimized intake fans to be installed in the front part of his beloved machine, connecting one to a FAN/PWN header and cascading the other. Then he explained how to undervolt (change the voltage/frequency curve) with MSI Afterburner without losing too much performance, and suggested to play in 1440p or 1080p to decrease power consumption. Finally, he helped Marco choose the best configuration for his setup with the help of some very revolutionary and innovative modernist artwork:
In the end, impressed by the perseverance and dedication of Samuele, Marco … well not only applied the changes recommended by Samuele, but wanting to encourage our work at all costs he also bought some more KLIM gear!
